Mrs. Elcy Padmanabhan
4th & 5th Grade Teacher
I am thrilled to be a full time teacher at Pine Harbor Christian Academy. I am no stranger to the Pine Harbor community: as a parent of three children who attended PHCA, I have been active at PHCA since 2004. I have also been an active member of the boosters, a part time teacher’s aide and, most recently, a full time aide in the Kindergarten classroom.
I obtained a Bachelor’s degree in English and a Master’s degree in Elementary Education, both from the University of Minnesota Twin Cities. I was a tenured teacher in the St. Paul Public Schools system until the birth of my first child. I have maintained my Minnesota State teaching license by attending classes at the University of St. Thomas and Northstar Online.
While caring for my family, I continued to work with children of all ages as a Bible Study Fellowship children’s leader and as a Sunday school coordinator and teacher at my church. I am an active member of my church community along with my husband, Arun, and our three children. My faith and knowledge of the Scriptures serve as a guiding principle in all areas of my life.
It means a great deal being a part of the PHCA family in furthering the academically-excellent and faith-centered system that benefited my own children during their developmental years at Pine Harbor.
I’m passionate about teaching and value being able to teach from a biblical worldview. I had the privilege of receiving a Christian education from 2nd grade through college. Being educated by Christians, and receiving a Christ centered education, cultivated who I am today. I have a desire to encourage your student to grow, not only academically but also, in their faith. My prayer is to see them learn how to reach their fullest potential academically, and realize that their potential comes from Christ, who desires more than they could ever ask or imagine.
